Abstract
“Building a Better, Process-Centric Life Through BPM”
Business Process Management (BPM) offers a programmatic structure and supporting methodology for designing transactions and executing them using automated decisions, tasks and sequence flows. This talk will briefly introduce BPM and its value-add and then quickly move into a detailed look at the practical application of BPM, reinforced by a live demonstration.
Speaker Bio
Kyle Gabhart is a subject matter expert specializing in Service-Oriented technologies and currently serves as the SOA Practice Lead for Web Age Solutions, a premier provider of technology education and mentoring. Since 2001 he has contributed extensively to the SOA community as an author, speaker, consultant, and open source contributor.
He has written articles for The Web Services Developer’s Journal, served as the Java Pro for DevX.com for two years, and published close to two dozen articles on IBM developerWorks, including the J2EE Pathfinder series. In addition to writing over 50 technical articles both online and in print, he has contributed to two books, Professional Java and XML and Professional EJB Development, both by Wrox Press.
Kyle is the original contributor of the kXML-RPC library (the first J2ME client implementation of the XML-RPC protocol), the founder of the Web Services Java Users Group based in Dallas, TX, and a Founding Member of the Worldwide Institute of Software Architects where he has served as the Subject Chair for Architectural Patterns.
