Abstract
The talk will cover tools and techniques for finding memory related problems with Java. Tools from the JDK including JDK 1.6 will be covered in depth and demonstrated. Some other non-JDK tools will be highlighted as well. Tips for finding memory leaks, caching issues, and other memory related problems will be covered based on real-world experiences with large systems.
Speaker Bio
Kelly Campbell, Google
Kelly Campbell is a Senior Software Engineer and team lead at Google, Inc. in New York City. He is responsible for several areas of development within the Internal Systems group related to Billing and Payments. Before joining Google, Kelly was a software engineer for BankOne/Chase in Delaware and various startups in Colorado and Delaware. He has also contributed to open source projects such as Apache FOP and Xerlin XML editor.
